Dear Fellow-Servant, Your communications are clear, explicit, open, and moving! We are praying for you and will continue to trust God for a recovery with dignity and integrity! Never mind losing things that once seemed overwhelmingly valuable. What really counts are the ministry and competencies that are uniquely you in the shaping hands of our Father. In the brogue of the "old south," we're mighty proud to know you! And by the way, I found a few slides from France, of your folks' first apartment building, of your brother, your Mom, and your Dad. I will relay them to you by mail if you would like. The old slides--not badly faded-- showed up as I was scanning some of the 40,000 photos in my ancient files in order to store the pictures digitally. In the Name of our Lord jesus, Ted

I work with Tim Schuman at ACSI. He told me about your recent visit and, at my request, sent me a link to your website. I'm an MK from the dark ages. My family went to Venezuela when I was five, and I started boarding school at age six. I appreciate the articulate way you're communicating the unique challenges of MK life. Keep up the good work. I'll check back often.

So happy to find you here. Your writing is top-notch---I can't understand why you never received a $3,500,000.00 check...
Your book Tangled Ashes was great. It only took me a few days to read it. Will there be a sequel? Your are a fantastic writer. Love the pictures? Taking pictures is my passion also. Great website.

Michelle,
I am just beginning to find time to read your material here--starting with your bio. Now that I have "met" you I find myself compelled and motivated to really get to know as much about you and your life and work as possible--partly because I am drawn to you and your work as a choir director/teacher (that's me for 40 years) and, as I have already mentioned, because of you past involvement with your parents. I hope you don't mind. I don't expect responses from you at all often, but will be grateful if and when any might coming my way. Meanwhile, I'll keep working on this project of getting to know Michelle (love the Beatles song) Phoenix--my new-found friend.

Hi Michelle, In feeling nostalgic for my years in Germany today, I found the wonderful BFA website! We were in the same class for the 1983-84 school year, but the following year my family and I moved to Munich to finish out our missions term. During my exploration of this site I saw your name and the links that brought me here now. I was so impressed and moved.I pray God's continued healing and blessings on your life.
Sincerely, Rachel (Edwards) Peavey

Just looked at the photo section. Love the "turning pages" look/sound. Even though I've seen all these before, it was fun reliving the memories...
